About UsFor over 50 years our club has been welcoming residents to Greenwich and providing a forum to meet new friends. Whether your interests run to sports, dining, reading or just socializing, we have something for you. We welcome new arrivals, lifelong residents and anyone in between - as long as you have an interest in meeting new people!
GovernanceThe Greenwich Newcomers Club is run by a board of directors, all volunteers. We typically have around 18 on the board and another 12 running our interest groups. We are always happy to hear from anyone who would like to be involved in the running of the club.
Club BenefitsAs a member of the Greenwich Newcomers Club you will have access to numerous groups such as recipe club, Kids at Play and book club. We also host a number of family events and couple / adults evening events. We send out regular emails detailing upcoming events. See our 'Club Activities' page for more information.
We ask for annual dues from our members to join the Club (currently $60 per year). As we are a not-for-profit social club, all dues monies are put towards Club activities and operating costs (website, insurance, printing, postage, room rentals etc.). Board and Committee members are volunteers and receive no remuneration for their work with the Club.
SponsorshipWe have links with a number of local businesses and organizations who help support the club through their sponsorship - through both financial contributions and provided services. This enables us to host better events and maximize membership benefits. Our sponsors benefit through increased awareness. If you are a local business and are interested in partnering with the Newcomers Club, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
