Breakfast Paddle

Let's hope for better weather this time round!!

Meet us at the Seaside Garden, behind the community sailing building at Tod's Point for a picnic breakfast (bring blankets!), followed by a leisurely kayak tour of Greenwich Cove with staff from Greenwich Community Sailing. This family friendly event will introduce you to the jewel of Greenwich Parks, Tod’s Point, and get you out on the water to experience the joys of Long Island Sound.

A Kayaking 101 ‘refresher’ will be provided for those who haven’t recently paddled.  All levels are welcome.

This is a great opportunity for newcomers who love the outdoors to enjoy an outing on the water and kick-off the summer season.  For more information about our two ‘host’ organizations, visit www.greenwichsailing.com.

This event is appropriate for couples, singles and families with children over age five. Children between the ages of 5 and 8 must be accompanied by an adult in a double kayak. Only Greenwich residents may rent kayaks from Greenwich Community Sailing, and a Greenwich beach card must be shown at registration.  The minimum age will be strictly enforced by Community Sailing.

Event Cost

$19.50 per single kayak – one person only – weight limit 250 lbs

$23 per double kayak – two people only – weight limit 425 lbs

About Greenwich Community Sailing (www.greenwichsailing.com):

  OGYC has sponsored the extraordinarily popular Greenwich Community Sailing (GCS) program since 1998.  It is open to all Greenwich residents with a Greenwich Park pass.  GCS offers entry level sailing through racing, from age 8 through adults, plus multihull sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and more. Private lessons are available. GCS is located beyond the OGYC Clubhouse in the Chimes Building at Greenwich Point.
